The Twins
A Tribute to the Commedia dell'arte
About the play
Pantalone, Harlequin, Capitano and Dottore, the eternal characters of the Commedia dell'arte, are being relocated in a current Israeli high school reality.

The play is based on the classical elements of the Commedia dell'arte: switching identities, two twins who have been separated after birth, intrigues and manipulations, teenagers fighting for fulfilling their love and generations gap.

Local contents: a pour high school about to be closed, socio-economic differences, integrating new immigrants and students-teachers relations are being poured into these forms. Above all this is the story about the struggle of a group of high-school students for a social reform and for a better future.

Psik Theater is proud to present a unique show in the Commedia dell'arte style, which was written as a common work by the theater ensemble. The play is based on classical structures and contains direct quotes from Moliere and Goldoni plays, which demonstrate the uniqueness of every mask. All these create a hilarious show, full of improvisations and humor, which evoke a lot of empathy among the viewers.
